Weghorst: 'It was special every time'

The World Cup is still in full swing, but for several Ajax players preparations for the new season have already begun. Our new head coach, Míchel Sánchez, welcomed his squad to de Toekomst on Thursday for their initial tests, followed by the first group training session on Friday. The head coach also showed he hasn’t lost his touch, joining in a rondo himself. We were there on both days, from start to finish, capturing everything along the way.

Following Thursday's medical and physical tests, the ball was finally rolling in Amsterdam on Friday morning. Under the guidance of new head coach Míchel Sánchez, Ajax held their first session on the pitch at the club's De Toekomst training ground.
